ALWADATA LIFELINE INITIATIVE (ALLI) Bauchi is non-governmental organization which is initiated to support women’s rights, enhance access to  healthcare, with a focus on menstrual health and hygiene for women and  girls. We support, empower, facilitate access to  healthcare, education, and menstrual hygiene resources for underprivileged pregnant women and girls, ensuring comprehensive care regardless of socioeconomic status. we also emphasize on supporting and providing access and medical assistance to under privileged/vulnerable populations, especially the girl child, orphans, children and pregnant women.
We believe in fostering a society where every woman has the opportunity to manage her menstrual hygiene with dignity and safety, free from stigma and discrimination, while also addressing the pervasive issue of sexual and gender-based violence through education, advocacy, and support services, thereby empowering women to lead healthy and fulfilling lives during pregnancy and beyond. Through our commitment to promoting reusable sanitary pads, we aim not only to provide sustainable menstrual hygiene solutions but also to contribute to environmental sustainability and economic empowerment for women in communities across Nigeria.

Alwadata's Reusable Sanitary Pad Product...

We found that many people in rural areas lack access to disposable sanitary pads and often resort to using old clothes, which can be unhygienic and lead to future health issues. To address this, we introduced reusable sanitary pads. These pads are cost-effective and can even be made at home. We also educate on proper maintenance to ensure cleanliness and longevity. This initiative aims to provide a sustainable and healthier alternative for menstrual hygiene management in underserved communities. impact, uplifting the spirits of those in need and fostering a sense of belonging within our community.

OUR OBJECTIVES

To support the provision of medical assistance for vulnerable/neglected pregnant women, women with disability, the girl child, orphans, and vulnerable children.
To support the social development of under privileged households through women and adolescent girls’ empowerment and education.
To promote and support menstrual health and hygiene management including provision of WASH facilities amongst adolescent girls and young women.
To support health systems strengthening through supporting and facilitating capacity building activities with particular focus on maternal, newborn and child health, as well as WASH practices
To create awareness among women and girls on human rights and sexual and reproductive health rights and gender-based violence (SGBV).
